Art Historian Peter Mooz is no stranger to students of Professor Carol. He provided extensive commentary for our series Exploring America’s Musical Heritage. Peter’s vast knowledge of art history made him the perfect source to help tie in the musical concepts with the art of the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance.

Peter received a B.A. in History from Wesleyan University, M.A. in Art History from Boston University, and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.

He has served as Director of the Virginia Museum of Fine Art and the Bowdoin College Museum of Art and has authored numerous books and articles in art history.
