A Virtual Tour of the Arts of Budapest

A shimmering jewel along the Danube, the city of Budapest is actually three urban areas melded into one, each of which has such a different story to tell. The castle-filled hills of Buda, with their leafy verdure, tower over the Danube. The open plain of Pest, modern, dynamic, push still towards the future. And ancient voices still whisper through the ruins of the Roman town of Aquincum, where Hungarians arrived at the end of the 9th century.

Today Budapest draws tourists, scholars, and artists, who find themselves thrilled at her architectural and natural beauty, her cultural richness, and her dazzling array of local and national traditions, including cuisine! In this free session, part of our “Tour the Arts” series, I will take you through Budapest’s history, artistic wealth, and cultural heritage. In truth, no matter how many times I have been privileged to be in Budapest, I am never less than wowed. Be prepared to be dazzled.
